Newsletter Spring 2020

Greetings to all of our members and friends, I would love to wish everyone a happy spring. However, due to the unprecedented pandemic, my heart goes out to all who have suffered the virus and/or have lost loved ones. As much as our Trustees miss visitors at the Royal Governor’s Mansion, it pales in comparison to those who cannot visit their loved ones in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. On a positive note, the restoration continues. We are grateful not only for that, but also for keeping construction workers employed as we see the unemployment rate skyrocket. After years of neglect and lack of funds, I cannot help but feel the House has finally been blessed. As the Corona virus marches closer to home and we see our family, friends and neighbors succumb to its invasion, may we continue to follow CDC guidelines, help where we can, voluntarily quarantine, wear masks when we don’t, respect others , use common sense, thank God for science and pray for mercy. May you all stay safe and be well. --Lisa Nanton
